35 OSS based in Misawa AB, Japan, requires forty-nine (49) water purification systems. The Katadyn model, MROD-06-LL1-RES, is a lightweight water source solution that supports flying operations and is used as survival kits contained within the ejection seats. IAW Technical Order (T.O.) 14S-3-51, Table 7.3, and a waiver provided by PACAF/A31, the Katadyn MROD is authorized for install and utilization in aircrew survival kits across PACAF.
