Full Description

22 MXS currently owns the webbing component of the aircraft lift system and requires this particular lift spreader bar in order to lift the KC-46 aircraft and have a fully operational aircraft lift system, allowing for expanded MXS mission capabilities. This lifting system is adjustable and can accommodate other aircraft at McConnell AFB, not solely just the KC-46. However, it is the only known bar available for the KC-46 due to the size and dimensions of the aircraft and is already in use within other military units. (Ex Bases: Andersen AFB, Volk ANG, Naval Warfare Center). The only known manufacture of the spreader bar is AGE Logistics (Cage: 02708). Market research did not identify any other companies that can provide the required product. DSBS, GSA, Internet searches, and SBA Search reveals no small business vendors that are capable of providing this requirement. Two companies, Tronair and Trailboss Enterprises, make fuselage lifts and were solicited to by Andersen AFB in FY14 for a similar requirement (contract #FA524014P0184) but were unable to provide this item due to the specific characteristics pertaining to the acquisition. Both companies were contacted again for this requirement but are still unable to provide this due to the characteristics pertaining to the KC-46.
