Border Services Canada (CBSA) require services to maintain the kennel facilities and provide basic care to the canines housed on site, outside of the regular operational hours of the Detector Dog Training Program (DDTP) staff. This includes the provision of food, water, exercise and administration of medication, supplements, etc., as needed. This is necessary to ensure the canines are provided with a clean, hygienic, safe, living environment at all times, and receive basic care seven days a week.
A detailed description of the services can be found in the RFP documents, Annex A, Statement of Work.
Canada intends to complete the review of proposals received and award a contract for December 1, 2024. The period of the contract will be for 2 years with the possibility to extend the contract for 3 additional 1 year periods.
