The Department of Defense, through the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane, is issuing a sole source solicitation for the Keyed BAMS Airborne Recorder (K-BAR) System Components, with a planned issue date of May 13, 2025, and a closing date of May 22, 2025. The contract involves acquiring a variety of specific system components, including processor assemblies, I/O blade assemblies, midplanes, front and rear panels, power supplies, cable assemblies, covers, gaskets, and other related parts essential for the K-BAR system. The procurement is designated as sole sourced because these items are already integrated into the existing customer program and have been ingrained into their system, making them unique to the current configuration. Curtiss-Wright Controls Electronic Systems Inc. is the only authorized source for this procurement under FAR 13.106-1, and the government intends to negotiate directly with them. While other responsible sources may submit capability statements for consideration, the government retains sole discretion to decide whether to open the procurement to competition. All interested vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and monitor https://sam.gov/ for any updates or amendments to the solicitation. Offers must be submitted via email to Cassidy K. Shaw by the specified deadline, with all required information included. The procurement is managed under NAICS code 334511, and further details are available through the provided SAM.gov link.
