The Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) is seeking a consultant to conduct an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the proposed King Station Multimodal Transit Center (MMTC) in King City, CA. The project aims to re-establish a passenger rail station serving Amtrak's Coast Starlight and future intercity rail services. The scope includes a new siding track, two passenger platforms, a pedestrian overcrossing, a new at-grade crossing at Broadway Street, closure of the Pearl Street crossing, parking facilities, a bus transit hub, and improvements to First Street. The consultant will be responsible for site characterization, impact analysis (air, water, noise, traffic, land use, cultural resources), development of mitigation measures, and conducting a public involvement process. The EIS/EIR is expected to tier from the 2014 Coast Corridor Tier 1 EIS/Report.
