THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFOMRATION PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to negotiate on a sole source basis a contract to HYPACK Inc. This sole source contract is required for maintenance service for HYPACK hydrographic survey software with completion of period of performance on 31 October 2013. The existing single purchase order used to perform maintenance service on hydrographic survey software was awarded to HYPACK Inc using sole source justification on 4 Nov 2011 for a maximum amount of $8,100.00. The maintenance contract will include the latest version of HYPACK hydrographic software, software patches for program errors through online support, unlimited technical support by telephone and by email to end users, documentation to end users, and software license renewal for HYPACK hydrographic software programs. The work with be performed at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, Virginia. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability of other qualified sources that can meet the above extensive requirements specified above. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis.
