La Mirada Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II

The La Mirada Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II project, managed by the Los Angeles County Sanitation District, involves the rehabilitation of approximately 8,156 feet of 18- to 36-inch reinforced concrete pipe and 24 adjacent manholes. The scope of work covers the La Mirada Trunk Sewer Sections 1 and 2 as well as the La Mirada Relief Trunk Sewer, spanning the cities of Norwalk, La Mirada, and Santa Fe Springs. The project is divided into three distinct segments: Segment 1 runs from Rosecrans Avenue to Stage Road; Segment 2 extends from the intersection of Carmenita Road and Rosecrans Avenue to Stage Road; and Segment 3 begins on Stage Road and ends at the intersection of Stage Road and Biola Avenue. This project is classified as a forecast under NAICS code 237110 and is exempt from environmental review under CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 and Public Resources Code Section 21080(b)(4). This exemption is granted because the work consists of repairs to an existing public facility without expansion of use and is necessary to prevent or mitigate an emergency.
