Full Description

The San Francisco Laboratory desires to purchase the spectrometer specified in (1) above from ThermoFisher Scientific, specifically the Nicolet iS10 Mid Infrared FT-IR Spectrometer with ATR accessory. The laboratory requires this FT-IR Spectrometer to 1) replace a system which is nearing the end of its lifetime 2) provide increased sensitivity for polymer ad textile samples and 3) update existing polymer and textile spectral libraries. The proposed contractor will be able to provide the iS10 spectrometer system which can be integrated into current laboratory procedures without the need for familiarization or training for existing spectrometer users. Existing local SOPs can be updated easily to accommodate the new iS10 system. Existing spectral libraries which the laboratory has previously purchased will be compatible with the iS10 system.
