The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Safety, Security and Asset Management and Asset management Services Office (OSSAM/AMSO), intends to award a sole source purchase order to Nycom, Inc, 14200 Michaux Glen Dr Midlothian, VA 23113-6876. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1- only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238390, Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables with a size standard in number of employees 500. The period of performance is (12) twelve months. The purpose of this procurement for the casework and fume hoods Kewaunee Research Collection Inset Steel Laboratory Casework-(5) floor mounted base cabinets;(5)knee space assemblies including panels rails and supports;(4)mobile storage cabinets;(1)tall storage cabinet;(4)wall cabinets;(9)tiers of shelving, each with (3)shelves. All requires fillers and scribes to complete installation. Kewaunee Alpha System Adjustable Height Tables;72"x36" worksurfaces (three total);60"x24" worksurfaces (one total).Kewaunee Kemresin Epoxy Resin Work Surfaces-Black epoxy resin;Approximately (45) liner feet;Table tops on Alpha System tables. This is the only manufacturer that make the furniture that is interchangeable with the exisiting laboratory furniture currently in use as part of CDC's mission. Nycom, Inc is the only responsible source capable of meeting all of the Government's requirement because they are the only manufacturers of the Kewaunee Research Collection Inset Steel Laboratory Casework. Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are encouraged to submit capabilities statements to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the posting date of this notice. The Government will review all capabilities statements submitted and determine if other qualified sources do exist that could provide this requirement. Information received in response to this announcement will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
