Full Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Environmental Health/Division of Laboratory Sciences intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order to Neoteryx, LLC, 421 Amapola Avenue, Torance, CA 90501. The purpose is to acquire 10 uL Mitra Microsampler 4-sampler clamshell. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) (1) - only one source reasonably available. CDC believes that no other vendor supplies a product similar to the Mitra microsampler. Mitra microsamplers are a rapid and user-friendly device used to accurately and precisely obrtain a fixed volume of human biological samples. Microsamplers offer several advantages to dried blood spot sampling including no hematocrit bias in quantitation of toxins, compatibility with automation instrumentation in the CDC lab, and ease and cost-effectiveness of shipping these dried samples. This notice of intent is not a request for proposal. A determination to compete this procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. No solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps. We will only issue a solicitation to Neoteryx, LLC. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement.
