PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Department of the Navy (DoN) intends to negotiate a one-time sole source contract with Maine Standards Company, LLC, 221 US Route 1, Cumberland Foreside, MS 04110. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2. This notice will be distributed through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring FBO website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 339113; the size standard is 750 employees. The Department of the Navy (DoN) intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract to Maine Standards Company, LLC, 221 US Route 1, Cumberland Foreside, MS 04110 for the Laboratory Instrument Calibration Kits that meets DON's requirement. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government it has been determined DON's requirement can only be provided by Maine Standards Company, LLC, are the sole manufacturing authority and hold all data, machinery and processes the Laboratory Instrument Calibration Kits that meets DON's requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 5:00 pm, EST, September 15, 2017 by email to the attention of Nancy Purvis, Contract Specialist, at contact@example.gov. Facsimile offers will not be accepted. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
