Full Description
Online sealed bids for this contract – CHARLESTOWN PUMP STATION SWITCHGEAR REPLACEMENT will be received by the Lancaster Area Sewer Authority via the PennBid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) until THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2026 at 11:00 am local prevailing time. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for TUESDAY, AUGUST 11, 2026, at 9:30 am local prevailing time at the offices of the Authority located at 130 Centerville Road, Lancaster PA 17603.
The SCOPE OF WORK to be performed under this contract includes, but is not limited to, demolition; electrical service and distribution and switchgear replacement and associated earthwork, utilities, and cast-in-place concrete; and all other associated work. The work includes all requirements to provide a fully finished and operable switchgear for a fully functional pump station as indicated, shown, specified or required to complete the work in strict conformity with the Contract Documents. The work also includes all specified, indicated and shown electrical equipment, appliances, appurtenances, furnishings, instrumentation and controls, accessories, tests and sundry parts and material as shall be necessary and required for a completely operable installation satisfactory to the Engineer. Bidding Documents may be examined without charge at the office of the Authority at the address shown above. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
Bids may be modified or withdrawn via the PennBid Program at any time prior to the opening of the Bids.
After the Bid opening, Bids may be withdrawn only by complying with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania laws and regulations. A summary of such laws and regulations is given in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of 120 days from the date of Bid opening. See Instructions to Bidders for other provisions on the time available for acceptance of Bids.
Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or Bid bond (in the required form) for ten percent of the Bid total in the same fashion as all other submittals that are made with the Bid. The lowest responsible bidder shall submit the actual Bid security to the Authority within three (3) business days after bid opening.
The LANCASTER AREA SEWER AUTHORITY hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any or all Bids and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any Bid.
