Land sale Auction Blueberry Park

The Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC) is soliciting sealed bids for the sale of approximately 2.014 acres of surplus land located at 1870 North Ardenwood Drive, at the southeast corner of Blueberry Street and North Ardenwood Drive in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The property, described as Lots 34-A, 35, 1 and 2 of Block 7, Smiley Heights, is zoned as C-2 Heavy Commercial and A-3.1 Limited Residential. Based on a February 2026 appraisal, the minimum acceptable bid price is 125,000.00 dollars, a value that accounts for 25,000.00 dollars in required capital outlays for the demolition and removal of existing improvements. Bids must be submitted electronically via Bid Express or in paper format to the BREC Finance Department by 2:00 PM CT on October 20, 2026. Following the deadline, bids will be read aloud publicly in Room 1515 of the BREC Administration Building. The award will be based on the bid price, provided it meets or exceeds the minimum appraised value. Acceptance of a winning bid is contingent upon the successful execution of a binding written Purchase Agreement acceptable to both parties within 45 days of the bid opening.
