Landscape Project on Fairview Street, Fort Erie

Niagara Regional Housing is soliciting lump sum proposals from professional landscaping contractors for the Fairview Street project in Fort Erie. The objective is to develop green space for a transitional housing facility serving indigenous women and children fleeing violence. The scope of work includes full landscape implementation based on civil and landscape design drawings, the design and construction of a gazebo with stamped drawings for city permits, concrete flat work using standed brushed concrete, grading, sodding, tree installation, and shed assembly. The contractor is responsible for providing a one-year warranty on general labor and materials and a two-year warranty on all trees, as well as watering sod for two weeks post-installation. The contract is governed by the CCDC 2-2020 Stipulated Price Contract with specific supplementary conditions, including strict notice requirements for concealed conditions, delays, and claims to avoid forfeiture of price or time extensions. Award decisions are based on a weighted evaluation of the proponent's experience with Niagara Regional Housing (20%) and general firm experience (15%), alongside project understanding and timeframes; the lowest bid will not necessarily be accepted. Bidders must submit digital proposals via the Bids and Tenders portal by October 21, 2026, including a qualification statement, project schedule, and proof of operator certifications.
