This notice AG-32SC-SS-13-LAF1 is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred associated to this request for capability information. The USDA, ARS, EBSC, National Center for Animal Health (NCAH) Ames Iowa has a need/requirement for Large Animal Feed (Horse, Swine, Sheep and Cow) to support research needs. The Eastern Business Service Center (EBSC) is issuing this sources sought request as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to provide the aforementioned products for NCAH. The result of this market research will contribute to determining whether there are adequate sources are available from which to receive competitive proposals. The award will be for the period starting approximately July 10, 2013 for an IDIQ fixed price type contract. The Details and specifications for the Large Animal feed shall be per the attached SOW Delivery to: USDA-ARS-NCAH, Ames, Iowa. Award will be made based on overall BEST VALUE to the Government. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code to be assigned to this procurement is 311119. For a company to qualify as a small business, the small business standard is 500 employees or less. Submission Instructions: Interested parties, who consider themselves qualified to provide the product as detailed are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 4:00 PM (CDT) June 25, 2013. If your organization has appropriate qualifications and capacity to provide this product, please provide the following information: (1) A complete and current record of your SAMs Registration which includes DUNS number, Organization name, address, contact name, email address, Web site address, telephone number, type of organization, small business type (if any), etc; (2) A list of previous customers (Federal Preferred) which were provided products similar in nature.
