REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY MacDill AFB is seeking industry feedback regarding an approved cell tower site. This single site is located on the Southeast part of MacDill AFB near Bayshore Blvd. (see attached map) with a cell tower height limitation of 150 ft. AGL. Tower and supporting structures must meet MacDill architecture compatibility with surrounding facilities and design must be approved by base leadership. Provide suggestions/possibilities for tower concealment such as a clock tower, etc... but a flag pole will not be considered. In addition, provide feedback concerning the minimum amount of land needed to support a cell tower and any supporting structures and if there is a preferred/optimal footprint needed to support a cell tower and any supporting structures. Specifically, the purpose of this market research is to determine industry interest in leasing government real estate for the purpose of constructing a cell phone tower on MacDill Air Force Base (AFB) and subletting space to other cell phone service providers. As part of the proposed tower construction and lease, MacDill AFB is seeking in-kind compensation based on an annual lease agreement vs. payment for leasing cell tower space. We anticipate the initial lease agreement to last for a period of 5 years. Construction of the tower will not be funded by MacDill AFB, the United States Air Force or any other government agency. The tower must accommodate a minimum of 6 providers for the purposes of consolidating cellular equipment/capabilities on MacDill AFB. Firms responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information: company's full name, business size, DUNS/CAGE Codes, address and point of contact.
