Full Description

The U. S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intend to award a purchase order using full and open competition to obtain services for the maintenance of Leica confocal microscopes. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subparts 12.6 and 15.2 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation Number NIHOA2012079 is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) using Acquisition of Commercial Items. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-61. The NAICS Code is 811219. The small business size standard is $6.5mil. This is a firm fixed price purchase order. The period of performance is a base of 12 months. The Government reserves the right to award a contract without discussions if the Contracting Officer determines that the initial prices are fair and reasonable and that discussions are not necessary.
