Full Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source and is not a request for competitive proposals. The authority for this sole-source procurement is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Gordon intends to issue a sole-source, firm-fixed price award to Leica Microsystems, Inc., 1700 Leider Ln, Buffalo Grove, IL, 60089-6622 IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The justification for the sole source is due to Leica Microsystems, Inc. being the manufacturer and sole authorized Leica Applied Microscopy sales team for North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi for Microscopes for Industrial Applications, DM and DMi Series Compound Microscopes, A&S-Series StereoZoom's, M-Series Stereomicroscopes, DVM6 Digital Microscope and Z - Series Macroscopes, Digital cameras and Software, as well as accessories and components. Therefore, no other company can provide and support these products in GA without written authorization, agreement, and / or consent from Leica Microsystems, Inc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the Government shall consider all responses received by August 2, 2019 at 4:00pm Est. All interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. MICC - Fort Gordon will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice.
