AG-03K0-S-13-0008 Project Title: Lewis & Clark National Forest, Rock Creek Continental Divide Trail #111 Reconstruction Description of Work: Base Bid Items: The Rock Creek Continental Divide Trail #111 Reconstruction project is primarily a restoration project spread out over approximately 11 miles of trail. The trail will be maintained to hiker, pack and saddle standards. Trail work will be staked by the Government as needed throughout the length of the project. This project is located in the Bob Marshall Wilderness area; therefore, no motorized or wheeled equipment shall be used. Additional Bid Items: Additional Bid Items are dependent upon availability of funds at the time of contract award. Work consists of turnpike restoration, turnpike construction, puncheon bridge construction, and culvert installation. All of these structures are within one mile of Gates Park and a gravel source is approximately - mile from the turnpike locations. The successful Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, and incidentals to complete the work. Project Location: The project is located on the Lewis & Clark National Forest, Rocky Mountain Ranger District, in Lewis & Clark County, Montana. The project site is situated in the Bob Marshall Wilderness area northwest of Choteau, Montana. Directions from Choteau, MT: The Rock Creek Continental Divide Trail #111 can be reached by traveling north from Choteau, MT on US Highway 89. Turn west on Teton Canyon road and continue to the junction with the South Fork Teton Road. Follow this road to its end at the Headquarters Pass Trailhead. Take Trail #165 to the junction with Trail #109 and then travel south on Trail #109 for - mile to the junction with Trail #110. Continue west on Trail #110 for one mile to the junction with Rock Creek Continental Divide Trail #111. Price Range: Between $25,000 and $100,000. A Firm-Fixed Price contract is expected to result from this solicitation. Pre-bid Tour: No pre-bid tour will be conducted. Interested bidders may contact the Rocky Mountain Ranger District Office of the Lewis & Clark National Forest, at +1 (555) 000-0000, extension 119 for directions to view the project sites on their own. Contractors are urged to inspect the sites where the work will be performed. Interested parties shall take reasonable steps to ascertain the nature and location of the project area and the work to be completed, as well as the general and local site conditions which can affect the work and cost of performance.
