This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and written solicitation will NOT be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-66. This solicitation is a request for quotation and the closing date is 12:00 pm (CDT) on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 423690 Communications equipment merchant wholesalers and is set aside for Small Businesses. The Internal Revenue Service requires quantity 1,000 webcams per the following: - Manufacturer: Microsoft - Mfr Part No: 6CH-00001 - Description: LifeCam Cinema for Business, 720p HD, 1280 x 720, 30fps. Video and still images. Includes a standard warranty. This is a brand name purchase as the IRS maintains inventory of this part number which has been tested and approved for use. This is the only model of webcam that will fulfill the IRS requirement in an effort to standardize all equipment across the US. The webcam is already in use and the drivers have been distributed across all IRS offices. This requirement is to fill the depleted inventory in the Austin Equipment Depot.
