Connect 02 Cables to existing below grade grounding girdle -Cable connections shall be copper or copper clad steel -Cables shall not be less than AWG No. 1/0 with strands not less than AWG No. 17 - Connection point to the grounding girdle shall be exothermically bonded - Provide fire watch for welding operations - Existing bonding girdle is estimated to be 30" below grade - All bonding points shall yield less than 1 ohm - Above ground end of cable shall meet 3 point fall potential test requirements yielding less than 25 ohms - All asphalt removed to facilitate the scope of work shall be re patched - Cables will attach to grounding girdle at two separate locations which will require removal and replacement of asphalt
