Modifying/Amending the solicitation due to more vendor questions. Question: The A02_Statement_of_Work_SOW document list that the Scope is to purchase a medium voltage load bank (4160V), trailer and step down transformer to provide simulated load to a medium voltage generator (4160V). That said, I need a clarification that I hope you can help me with. The 480V, 3-phase, 60 hz load bank description includes verbiage that load connection is via Cam-Lock connectors on the outside of the load bank enclosure. For medium voltage testing, load connections would be made to the transformer primary. Do they intend to use the load module for low voltage (480V) applications also and this is why this load connection method is mentioned? Answer: No, the load module if for the internal operation of the load bank. The connections types are different due to one being low voltage (480V)(Cam-Lock) and the other being medium voltage (4160V)(I also specify medium voltage quick-connect). All of these are industry standard. The transformer will reduce the voltage from 4160Volts to 480Volts. This allows the use of commercial over the shelf products for the load bank.
