**This is a notice of proposed procurement for a requirement that is limited for bidding among firms registered on the Inuit Firm Registry (IFR)**
.
Under Article 24 of the Nunavut Agreement:24.4.3 Where the Government of Canada or the Territorial Government intends to invite bids for government contracts to be performed in the Nunavut Settlement Area, it shall take all reasonable measures to inform Inuit firms of such bids, and provide Inuit firms with a fair and reasonable opportunity to submit bids. As part of our Stratos program (About STRATOS, the CSA's stratospheric balloon program | https://www.asc-csa.gc.ca/eng/sciences/balloons/stratos.asp , The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) would like to fly, alongside our international partner, the French Space Agency – Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES), a scientific gondola under a stratospheric balloon from Sweden that would land on Baffin Island following a transatlantic flight. The flight is planned to last 3-5 days (between June 15th and June 30th 2024) depending on wind speed in the stratosphere. As part of the scientific instruments onboard the gondola, it is also planned to include a payload designed by youth who attended the Makigiaqta Inuit Training Corporation's Science Career Camp in Cambridge Bay (April 21th to April 26th 2024). This bid solicitation is to establish a contract for the delivery of a requirement detailed in the bid solicitation.
