Solicitation W91YTZ-17-T-0007 is a total small business set-aside for the procurement of two Spinesource, Inc. V Lock expandable titanium cage implants and associated instrumentation, or an approved equivalent. The equipment is required for a surgery scheduled for October 25, 2016, at Fort Gordon, Georgia, to treat a patient with spondylolisthesis, loss of lordosis, and severe spinal stenosis. The implants must allow for in-place adjustment with a minimum range of 0 to 11 degrees of lordosis, and the vendor is required to have a representative present during the procedure. Vendors proposing substitute items must provide detailed brand names, catalog numbers, and technical characteristics to prove equivalence, as failure to do so by the October 13, 2016, deadline will result in disqualification. The contract will be awarded to the lowest evaluated price that meets all non-cost acceptability standards, though the final award remains contingent upon the availability of fiscal year 2017 funding. Items that do not meet the specified requirements will be returned at the vendor's expense for a full refund.
