Full Description

The LVSR is a heavy tactical vehicle with 22.5-ton on-road/16.5-ton off-road payload capability and 600 horsepower diesel engine. The LVSR tractor, wrecker and cargo variants accomplish heavy tactical vehicle fleet missions of transporting bulk fuel and water, ammunition, breakbulk/ palletized cargo, tactical bridging, standardized containers to twenty feet; transporting heavy equipment (to include combat vehicles); and conducting heavy wrecker recovery. Contract M67854-20-D-0036 has been awarded in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements," to procure labor and logistics support for the installation of approved ECPs, and repair of LVSR components and systems not covered by the existing contract for cab reconditioning and repair of excessive cab corrosion on non-conforming cabs to be performed by Oshkosh. To leverage the cab reconditioning efforts currently under contract, it was imperative that the additional effort associated with the ECPs be performed by Oshkosh. The vehicles will be in the possession of Oshkosh during the cab reconditioning process. The Government would incur a substantial duplication in cost if the vehicles were shipped to another vendor for incorporation of the ECPs.
