The contract covers the complete replacement of the roof and HVAC system at the Arkansas Department of Transportation’s Northeast Arkansas Office located at 600 North Main St. in Jonesboro, with work requiring removal of the existing roof membrane and insulation down to the wood deck, repair of damaged decking, and installation of four inches of polyisocyanurate insulation board with a fully adhered fleece-backed PVC membrane roof, including cricket, saddle, and tapered edge strip installation and integration with the adjoining wall air barrier. The HVAC scope includes installing new condensate drains per current code with an indirect air gap discharge into the existing floor or hub drain in the HVAC closet, removal and capping of the existing hard-connected tailpiece, and elevating units on blocks if necessary to ensure proper drainage. All roofing materials must be delivered in original sealed manufacturer containers with intact labels bearing the manufacturer name, product type, date of manufacture, approval markings, and storage instructions, and must be stored under cover in a weathertight, ventilated location above ground to prevent damage from sunlight, moisture, or physical impact; foam plastic and liquid materials have specific environmental protections, and all storage must comply strictly with manufacturer guidelines. Delivery must be coordinated with installation schedules to minimize on-site storage, especially for flammable, hazardous, or sensitive items.
