MA19016 - Insurance Auto Auctions (IAA)

The City of Jurupa Valley Planning Department issued a Notice of Exemption regarding Master Application MA19016, which pertains to a request by Insurance Auto Auctions (IAA) for a Change of Zone and a Conditional Use Permit. The applicant sought to rezone the property located at 3500 Pyrite Road, identified by APNs 173-180-024 and 173-180-029, from Controlled Development Areas (W-2 Zone) and Rural Residential (R-R Zone) to a Medium-Manufacturing (MM- Zone). The proposed project intended to legalize an outdoor vehicle storage and online-only auto auction facility, which would have included an automobile storage yard with a capacity for up to 8,500 vehicles, online auction operations without in-person bidding, supporting office space, and customer parking.
