The U.S. Government has issued a Sources Sought Notice to identify capable large and small businesses for the maintenance and overhaul of the AH-64 Apache Servocylinder. This critical safety item requires a contractor to provide all necessary labor, parts, materials, and equipment to complete inspections and overhauls for a quantity ranging from a minimum of 60 to a maximum of 360 units. The anticipated contract structure is a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity agreement with a 60-month period of performance, divided into five priced ordering periods. Delivery is expected within 180 days of receiving the assets. A significant challenge for potential bidders is that the government does not currently own the technical data package for this component, which is held by Parker-Hannifin Corporation. Interested parties must demonstrate their ability to access this technical data or explain how they can fulfill the overhaul requirements without it without incurring substantial additional costs. This notice is for research purposes only to inform future acquisition decisions and does not constitute a formal solicitation or a commitment to award a contract.
