15-001818 Notice of Intent: National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), Office of Purchasing and Contracts (OPC), 10 Center Drive, Building 10, Room B1N238, Bethesda, Maryland 20892 intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis to, General Electric Co, DBA, GE Healthcare Division, 3000 N. Grandview Blvd., W443 Waukesha, WI 53188, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c) (1)--Only one responsible source and no other company will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS Code is 811219. This will be a firm fixed price purchase order with 1 year base and four one year options period. This requirement is for maintenance and services on the GE Voluson E6 Ultrasound Unit. Services to be provided consist of but are not limited to the following: 1. Maintaining software, which includes all software updates, correction of any software errors and modification to the software as needed. This is made available to GE Healthcare's customer. 2. Provide Remote Diagnostics and telephone technical Support for the ultrasound unit. The remote service requires connection to Remote Services Network of GE Healthcare. GE is the manufacturer and owner of it's ultrasounds units. GE is the only source for original equipment manufacturer replacement parts (including transducers). GE shall provide all repairs as needed. This is not a Request for Quote. Sources interested in this requirement must provide a statement of capabilities in sufficient detail to determine if the requirements of this synopsis can be met. Response must be in writing and must be received by the closing date of this notice and sent to Deborah Culpepper, dculpepper@cc.nih.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based on responses from this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. There is no solicitation package available.
