The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division (NCD), on behalf of the Advanced Medical Development (AMD) Program Office of Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC), awarded a Modification to the W911QY-15-C-0076 contract on a sole source basis to Sanaria, Inc., to enhance and expand on the current scope for an improved manufacturing process of an irradiated sporozoites-based malaria vaccine to support large scale manufacturing for use in Phase 3 clinical trials. The requirement calls for the development of a large scale automated manufacturing process that is compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that will produce larger amounts of malaria vaccine to be utilized in future Phase 3 clinical trials.
