Full Description
The purpose of this amendment is provide Government response to Request for Clarification (RFC) 001 and to revise Attachment 1 Performance Work Statement Errata 1. The due date for this solicitation remains unchanged at 29 April 2026. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

The Regional Maintenance Center at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS and IMF), Bremerton, Washington intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price IDIQ contract to accomplish Marine Chemist Services. This Solicitation is a Combined-Synopsis Solicitation.
The IRR Program maintains several ABS certified steel barges. These barges require yearly inspections, including potential entry to barge tanks. As contractors cannot use the PSNS Gas Free program, PSNS will require outside Marine Chemist services to Gas Free certify tanks and voids for contractor entry.
Scope Overview: Coordinate with the Contracting Officer to provide Marine Chemist services to gas free and certify all barge confined spaced safe for entry. The Barges will be within Puget Sound Naval Shipyard or Naval Base Kitsap. The barge tanks will be open, and the barge deck will be accessible for entry.
Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard or Naval Base Kitsap.
Ordering Period: This ordering period is 5 years from Date of Award.
This is full and open competition under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541690, size standard $19 million. All offerors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) to receive award of Government contracts. Offerors are advised also that SAM representations and certifications can be completed electronically via the System for Award Management website at https://www.sam.gov.
