Full Description

The US Army Contracting Command, APG, Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of U.S. Army RDECOM Natick Soldier Research Development and Engineering Center, intends to award a firm, fixed-price contract under FAR 13.106(b)(1) to Babington Technologies Inc., Rocky Mount, NC 27804-9356 for a proprietary suite of Military unique appliances that use their own proprietary AitronicTM burner. The Government intends to purchase this equipment to support development activities at the NSRDEC. Babington Technologies maintains the proprietary data rights to the current Marine Corps logistics (Airtronic) burner and it is planned to remain the primary heat source for all MC appliances. Military demand does not drive enough commercial demand to be viable for the commercial appliance industry. Long Term availability for replacement EFK appliances is a concern for the Marine Corps. All Responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333241. Inquiries and responses may be sent to Michael Houts, Contract Specialist, via email at Michael.s.houts.civ@mail.mil no later than July 20, 2018, 5:00 PM (EST).
