AI Contract Overview
The contract involves the procurement of laboratory markers designed for use on wet or dry surfaces, suitable for marking glassware, metal, and porcelain in medical environments. Each unit consists of a package of ten black fine-tip permanent markers, which comply with specific medical marking standards rather than the traditional MIL-STD-129 guidelines. Packaging requirements mandate that each unit be securely sealed and enclosed in commercial exterior shipping containers that ensure protection from damage and enable safe transportation to the designated delivery point, Fort Bliss, within 20 days of order acceptance. This solicitation, issued by the Department of Defense Medical Supply Chain, references strict quality and technical standards as outlined in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements. Additionally, the contract requires removal of government identification from any non-accepted supplies. Bidders must specify the source and part number of their offering, corresponding to NSN 6640-01-179-0017, with a total quantity of three packages requested. The procurement process is managed through the DLA's online portal, with a submission deadline set for April 9, 2026, and Tina Vu serving as the primary point of contact.
