AI Contract Overview
This contract pertains to the procurement of laboratory markers specifically designed for writing on wet or dry surfaces such as glassware, metal, and porcelain. The markers are to be black, permanent, and fine-point, with packaging in units of ten per package. All packaging must comply with commercial standards outlined in the DLA Packaging Requirements for Procurement and adhere to Medical Marking Standard No. 1 to ensure protection, safe handling, and proper identification during shipping. The contract emphasizes that markings supersede MIL-STD-129 and that appropriate methods must be employed to remove government identification from non-accepted supplies. The solicitation calls for the delivery of one package containing ten markers, with a delivery timeframe of 20 days after the order. The acquisition is managed by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain, with performance expected at Fort Riley, Kansas. The procurement process follows established technical and quality requirements from the DLA Master List, which are binding as of the solicitation or award date. Interested bidders are requested to specify the source and part number of their supplies, with the primary point of contact being Tina Vu from the DLA Medical Supply Chain office.
