The FAA is conducting a market survey to identify capable vendors for the replacement of 168 obsolete Communication Server Interface Units (CSIU) within the Radio Communications Equipment Centralized Maintenance System. This technical refresh aims to update 25-year-old equipment installed in the National Airspace System. The required units must feature RS-232 interface specifications with high voltage levels exceeding 5 VDC, specifically providing signaling over +8.3 VDC when driving eight receivers at 9600 bps. Technical specifications include up to 16 serial ports per unit using DB-25P connectors, USB A and B ports, compatibility with Windows 2000 through Windows 10, and an operating temperature range of 0C to 55C. Interested vendors under NAICS code 335999 must submit a capability statement detailing their firm's services, business history, and a clear demonstration that they can meet all technical product specifications. The preferred delivery timeline is 270 days from the receipt of an order. This request is for informational purposes only to determine market capability and does not constitute a request for proposal or a solicitation for quotes.
