Each mask is designed for mouth and nose coverage, features a latex-free disposable construction, includes an elastic strap and adjustable nose clip for secure fit, a reservoir bag, safety vent, check valve, and barbed fittings to prevent accidental disconnection. The intake tube is 84 inches nominal in length and corrugated, with no microphone or microphone pocket included. The facepiece material may be any acceptable plastic, and the unit is intended for use with an III oxygen system. Packaging must comply with commercial standards and be sealed in unit containers that protect against damage, shipped in suitable exterior containers to ensure safe delivery at the lowest freight rate to the destination point, Dyess AFB, 79607-1367. All items must be marked in accordance with Medical Marking Standard No. 1, superseding MIL-STD-129, and packaging must meet MIL-STD-2073-1E.
