The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO) intends to procure twenty-five (25) each Mass Memory Servers-2 (MMS-2) disk drive units, (Part number: 903531-6), the intended award will result in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order. The proposed source is Miltope Corporation, 3800 Richardson Road South, Hope Hull, AL 36043. The NAICS code for this procurement is 336413 and the size standard is 1000. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, In Accordance With (IAW) FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Miltope is the only source that possesses the form, fit, and function criteria and has the needed memory capacity for operational capacity. The Government does not possess and cannot furnish the technical data required to develop the MMS-2 disk drive server to permit full and open competition.
