Media Blast Chamber for the purpose of paint removal on aircraft wheels

This is a pre-solicitation synopsis in accordance with FAR 5.201. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. This synopsis is prepared in accordance with guidance found in FAR 5.207, and is prepared for the purpose of notifying potential offerors of an upcoming solicitation for service or supplies. The United States Air Force is seeking to purchase one (1) Automated Conveyor Wheel Blast Cabinet for the purpose of paint removal. Solicitation will have an option to buy one (1) Joystick Controlled Wheel Blast Cabinet for the purpose of paint removal. Finalized Purchase Specification (PS) will be provided with the FA8224-12-R-0080 solicitation at a later date. Project title is Wheel Blast Cabinet. Hill AFB, UT anticipates contract will be a LPTA (Lowest Price Technically Acceptable), FFP (Firm Fixed Price), commercial item, and 100% Small Business set-aside. Attached is the subject project DRAFT Purchase Specifications. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps on a regular basis for the solicitation along with any amendments.
