Authorized Distributor or ResellerThe contract seeks an authorized distributor or reseller to provide an inhalation system or its key components under a subcontract arrangement, with strict adherence to federal procurement regulations governing non-manufacturers. The opportunity is tied to the NAICS code 423450, which categorizes medical and surgical equipment and supplies merchant wholesalers, indicating the focus is on distribution rather than manufacturing. Performance of the contract is centered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a delivery address of 15240, and the work is being procured by the Department of Veterans Affairs through its 244-NETWORK Contract Office 4. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with Bound Tree Medical, Address: 5000 Tuttle Crossing Blvd. Dublin, OH 43016, for the purpose of procuring medical supplies for deployment operations. This procurement is in support of an ongoing requirement for approved medical supplies for kits used in the field. Only this source can furnish the requirements, to the exclusion of other sources, because this firm is able to meet the requirement of having a diverse slection of medical supplies, in large numbers, with the ability to rapidly deploy these items wherever directed by the FBI and can ship to various locations on short notice. The vendor must have the ability to function from multiple warehousing locations to ensure that the FBI can receive products if one location is no longer operational due to manmade or natural events. The vendor must be able to conform products and package FBI approved allowances for medical supplies, which entails custom supply kits and pre-stocked medical bags. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to the attention of: Kimberly Humphrey, email address: khumphrey@fbi.gov by Thursday, February 13 (10:00 AM Eastern). Only emailed responses will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government.
