Tippah County Hospital in Ripley, Mississippi, is seeking bids for the procurement of Medication Management Cabinets through a two-phase bidding process. Un-priced solicitations are due by November 13, 2024, via electronic submission, after which qualified vendors will be invited to participate in a reverse auction scheduled for November 22, 2024. The hospital reserves the right to extend the bidding period using an “anti-snipping” feature, which prolongs the auction if last-minute bids are placed. The project involves acquiring cabinets with specific security features such as controlled access, tamper-evident drawers, and audit trails, along with customizable storage configurations suitable for various hospital departments. The cabinets must include hardware necessary for operation, integrate with inventory management and electronic health record systems, and be supported by annual maintenance and 24/7 support services, including software updates. Bids must specify projected delivery dates and will be evaluated based on the lowest and best offer, with the hospital retaining the right to reject any or all bids and waive formalities if deemed in the best interest of the hospital. The contract size is estimated between $500,000 and $1,500,000, and additional specifications can be obtained from the hospital’s Purchasing Office. The final bid opening will occur at 10:00 a.m. on November 22, 2024, with the results reviewed by the hospital Board of Trustees at their December meeting. The process is governed by Mississippi law, and the hospital emphasizes its discretion to reject bids and prioritize the best interests of the facility.
