Solicitation FA9302-19-Q-5016 is for the procurement of Medium Power Radar Absorbent Material (RAM) to be used for a mobile chamber floor at Edwards Air Force Base in California. The material must adhere to strict physical specifications, including a standard four-sided pyramidal design with a 24-inch height and a 24-inch by 24-inch base, featuring nine pyramids per unit. A mandatory maroon color is required, and any painting or coatings applied to achieve this must be factored into the final reflectivity and power handling tests. Durability is a critical requirement, as the RAM must utilize a binder for carbon loading and fire retardants to prevent the shedding of particles. Specifically, the material must withstand a three-foot drop onto a concrete surface without shedding carbon particles to meet minimum specifications. The closing date for this request for quotation was updated to June 20, 2019, at 5:00pm PST.
