AFCEC/COMR, Civil Engineer Maintenance Inspection and Repair Team (CEMIRT) is in need of one (1) each Megger DELTA4310A Power Factor Test Set (12kV Insulation Diagnostic System) and related accessories. CEMIRT requires this unit to execute our day to day mission support operations. Our electrical teams are responsible for providing specialized electrical field support to Air Force bases across the globe. Some of the services provided by our teams are testing and maintenance of high voltage substation and power plant equipment such as circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear components, protective relays, lightning arresters, rotating machinery and such. The Power Factor Test Set needs to be a Megger product which is available from many vendors. This Megger equipment will integrate into our existing Megger products and systems. Any other manufacturer type power factor test sets will not meet the specification since CEMIRT personnel have been trained and certified on the DELTA4310A test unit and other related Megger test equipment products. Retraining personnel on new equipment will be costly and not effective to our operations. The shortage of this test equipment impacts our ability ensure reliable electrical systems at AF installations worldwide which directly impacts the Warfighter flying missions.
