North East School Division No. 200 is soliciting proposals from qualified prime consultants to design, support, and lead an interior renovation project at Melfort & Unit Comprehensive Collegiate in Melfort, Saskatchewan. The school, originally constructed in 1966 with additions in 1985, spans approximately 13,164 square meters and serves students in Grades 7 through 12. The solicitation, identified as RFPNESD2608-001, was posted on August 4, 2026, with responses due by September 9, 2026. All submissions must be directed to Tanya Biesenthal at rfpsubmissions@nesd.ca. This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by North East School Division No. 200 (NESD) for qualified prime consultants to submit a proposal to design, support and lead an interior renovation project for Melfort & Unit Comprehensive Collegiate, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”). Melfort & Unit Comprehensive Collegiate is located in the city of Melfort, SK. The school was originally built in 1966 with additions completed in 1985. The facility encompasses approximately 13,164 sq. m and serves students in Grades 7 through 12. ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST The estimated construction budget for the project is $1,800,000. Because of this diverse and continuous use, shutdown of major spaces is not an option, and project planning must account for maintaining building operations throughout the work. Through this Request for Proposal NESD seeks to: a) Select the successful Proponent. b) Specify the conditions that would govern any resulting Contract. c) Determine the fee structure. The proposals will be evaluated based on the criteria outlined within this document. Refer to Part 2 of this document for further details on the selection process. NESD serves approximately 4,800 students across 18 schools and 2 colony schools in northeast Saskatchewan. Our schools are supported by more than 700 dedicated employees who work together to create safe, inclusive and academically excellent learning experiences for all students.
