Meredith International Centre Specific Plan Amendment

The City of Ontario is implementing a Specific Plan Amendment, File No. PSPA25-005, to establish a Mixed-Use Overlay district known as Planning Area 3A within the existing Planning Area 3 Urban Commercial land use district. Located on 25.38 acres at the southwest corner of Archibald Avenue and Inland Empire Boulevard in southwestern San Bernardino County, the project aims to create a high-quality development featuring up to 1,400 residential units and 50,000 square feet of commercial and retail space. The amendment is designed to facilitate resort-style residential living and high-end dining and retail opportunities while ensuring consistency with The Ontario Plan Policy Plan, which allows for up to 125 dwelling units per acre. Administrative oversight is managed by the City of Ontario Planning Department, with David F. Eoff IV and Richard Ayala serving as primary contacts. The project has received a Notice of Determination dated June 16, 2026, confirming that an Addendum to the Environmental Impact Report was approved with no significant environmental effects anticipated. As part of the approval, a Mitigation Monitoring or Reporting Plan and specific mitigation measures have been adopted as conditions of the project.
