The contract features a five-year ordering period with a sixth-year option and is structured as a firm-fixed-price requirement. Due to the nature of the material, all offerors must possess a valid U.S. security clearance of Secret or higher. The procurement is anticipated to be other than full and open competition, specifically targeting limited sources such as Armtec and Chemring, though all responsible sources may submit proposals. Awarded contractors must adhere to strict quality standards, including ISO 9001-2015, and comply with rigorous military packaging, marking, and hazardous material shipping regulations. All produced components must be fully interchangeable with traditionally manufactured equivalents and strictly adhere to the baselines established in Project Peculiar Document 802-8436658.
