The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plans to award a Firm Fixed Price Delivery Order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-08-G-0010 to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC) on a sole source basis. This contract involves both non-recurring and recurring efforts focused on developing, analyzing, and manufacturing design improvements aimed at enhancing corrosion resistance for various components and systems of the MH60R helicopter. The scope includes updating production drawings, integrating changes into the production line, providing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), and executing associated Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). The sole source award is justified as SAC uniquely possesses the proprietary technical data, specialized equipment, experience, and skills necessary to meet the requirement within the required timeframe, with no other source capable of providing the needed services. The contract falls under NAICS code 336413 and will be executed primarily in Stratford, Connecticut, where Sikorsky manufactures the MH60R components. The effort supports the U.S. Navy’s initiatives to improve the durability and service life of critical systems through corrosion resistance enhancements. Contract management and inquiries regarding subcontracting are facilitated by named points of contact at NAVAIR, ensuring proper oversight and communication during the contract’s execution. The contract reflects a targeted investment in sustaining and advancing the operational readiness of the MH60R fleet through specialized engineering and manufacturing efforts.
