A MIAC meeting was held between Government of Canada and marine industry officials on October 26th & 27th, 2022 in Ottawa, ON with takeaways in the following areas of discussion:Day 1 of the meeting consisted of workshops on the following topics:1. “A Dialogue on Industrial Technical Benefits”, Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED);2. Indigenous Procurement, Indigenous Services Canada (ISC);3. Marine HR Discussion;and included an industry In-Camera session.On day 2, the committee had discussions about MIAC Action Items, Trends in Marine, the PSPC Marine Industry Awards, Terms & Conditions in contracts and Greening. The meeting was successful due to the participation of Industry and partner departments. Presentations are attached and the action item register can be found at the end of the attached report.The next MIAC meeting is planned for April 18, 2023 in Vancouver, BC.
