The City of Palm Desert is proposing to make improvements to the Mid Valley drainage system infrastructure, located southwest of the intersections of Cook Street with Gerald Ford Drive and Interstate 10. South of, and adjacent to Interstate 10, is the Mid Valley Basin where the City proposes to regrade and widen the Channel. A new Underground Storm Drain will be installed within the Gerald Ford Drive right-of-way. The final component is a proposed basin on approximately four acres of property located between the Channel and Gerald Ford. The proposed project has been divided into two phases. Phase 1 of the proposed project will be focused on the Mid Valley Basin, while the new basin and underground storm drain are set for implementation in Phase 2.
