MILO Range Classic System

On a SOLE-SOURCE basis, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT's) Office of Inspector General (OIG) plans to award a contract, purchase order or delivery order to IES Interactive Training USA for the MILO Range Classic System described below. The system will include all components of the classic system, one day on-site training and setup and 1 year warranty. The Office of Inspector General will make extensive use of the MILO Range Classic System produced by IES Interactive Training USA. The MILO Range Classic system is part of the OIG's training for all law enforcement officers here at Department of Transportation. The purchase of Use of Force-Judgment shooting training system is an essential part of on-the-job training for all guards. The simulation system allows Law enforcement officers to train on a computer based system to improve firearms proficiency and judgment shooting for, "Use of Force and non Use of Force scenarios". USDOT has no other option for purchasing the MILO Range Classic System, because IES Interactive Training USA is the sole manufacturer for the MILO Range Classic System and the sole provider of maintenance for their MILO Range Classic System. IES Interactive Training USA is the only available source for these services. Although the Government will continue to evaluate, on an ongoing basis, any interest shown by sources interested in competing for this requirement on subsequent acquisitions, it is not expected that any vendor other than IES Interactive Training USA will be able to provide this product. Nevertheless, any entity, other than IES Interactive Training USA which believes they can provide the needed product to OIG shall submit a capability statement to Pamala.millbrook.ctr@dot.gov no later than 1:00 PM EST on June 22, 2011.
