The County of Hawaii is seeking to procure mini light bars through a formal RFQ process, requiring vendors to submit complete and accurate responses via the designated RFQ form (PP for Goods 09-21-23). All fields in the form, including the fax number and exceptions box, must be filled out before submitting a quote, with vendors permitted to indicate “N/A, NONE” where applicable. Failure to submit the required form may result in disqualification. Communication regarding the RFQ must be conducted exclusively through the designated Bid Contact via written inquiries submitted through Public Purchase; oral explanations are not binding, and unauthorized communication may lead to disqualification. The contract will be awarded as a single lot, meaning all line items must be quoted to be eligible for award, which will be issued via purchase order to the successful vendor. Vendors are strongly encouraged to register with Hawaii Compliance Express (HCE) prior to submitting their bids, as compliance is mandatory for awards exceeding $2,500, in accordance with Hawaii Revised Statutes. Registration may take several weeks, so early registration is advised. If a vendor is not registered or compliant at the time of notification of award, the contract may be awarded to another qualified bidder. Additionally, vendors may submit bids based on active Hawaii state vendor contracts, with the applicable terms replacing those of this RFQ. The solicitation is posted with a response deadline of May 23, 2024, and the contract size is estimated between $5,000 and $20,000, with the NAICS code 335132 indicating the electrical lighting equipment industry. Further details and the bid link are available through the provided Public Purchase URL.
